I have not rebooted the NAS for the simple reason that I cannot connect to it to shut it down safely. Can someone point me to the solution? I've tried rebooting the switch and using a different MacBook. I've included some screen shots to illustrate the problem. But there is an orange exclamation point in the status column and attempts to connect fail followed by the NAS disappearing from Qfinder on subsequent scans. All of the devices seem to be acquiring new IP addresses over DHCP and on an initial scan Qfinder sees the NAS. However, after relocating all of the above gear to a new location I have not been able to successfully connect and I cannot figure out what is the problem. Everything was working fine and I was able to connect to the NAS successfully over the network. That switch has one port leading to the internet and another port connected to a MacBook running Qfinder Pro. I thought it might be an access right problem and tried to play with those but unsuccessfully.I have a Qnap NAS connected to Qnap QSW-M2108-2C managed switch. Strangely I can access and read the sample files already on the NAS (mp3 files & photos) but whenever I add a FLAC into the same folder, the Oppo 95 does not 'see' it. But if I follow the procedure described in the instructions and do the 'mount' thing for each folder, I'll end-up with several items in the Shared files.Īs you can see I am very confused with the basic functions of the NAS and cannot proceed with using it right now. What I mean is that all folders of the NAS should be shared. For me, the NAS should be the Shared Folder. I do not understand why I have to 'mount' a Folder of one of the item above. Secondly, to create a Shared Folder, according to the instructions, I need to 'mount' one of the Folders of one of the 3 above.when I do this, with the 'Multimedia' folder for instance, it creates another item in the Shared files which title is an IP address like 15.0.0.3 (just an example). I do not understand why I see those 3 especially as I cannot access one of them (the AFP I think). Firstly, in the Finder of OS/X, I see 3 items in the Shared files: 'NAS-Guillaume', 'NAS-Guillaume (AFP)' and 'NAS-Guillaume (SMB)'.

However, I do not understand how to use the NAS :oops: I installed QFinder and it's working, I can connect to the NAS with it. The HW and SW/FW set-up was no issue whatsoever. I mounted 2 x WD 3TB hard-drives in RAID 1.
